It doesn’t get any better than this. It’s always been the Grand National for me. Some people prefer the class of the Cheltenham Gold Cup but ever since I read a big book with small print and a faded cover on the history of the Aintree Grand National when I was seven or eight, I’ve been hooked on the magic of it.
