PANDORAMA

  • Pandorama put in a great performance to win the Grade 1 Lexus Chase at Leopardstown over 3m, at Christmas. He was unlucky in his last race in the Hennessy at Newbury, but Paul Carberry looked after him that day and pulled him up.
  • The 7yo Flemensfirth gelding won by 6L beating Money Trix and Joncol impressively, in what was effectively his first run of the season.
  • He is bred by P. Carmody out of the dam Gretchen's Castle. She is an unraced daughter of Carlingford Castle, who was runner-up in a Derby and Pandorama is the only winner from her five foals.
  • Pandorama was sold as a foal for just €5,000 to a cash buyer at the Goffs December Sale in 2003 . Almost a year later at the Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale he was unsold for €4,000. He is currently owned by Robert Bagnall and is trained by Noel Meade.
  • Flemensfirth is having a great season and of course already has the current Gold Cup winner, Imperial Commander. Flemensfirth will continue to stand next season at the Beeches Stud in Lismore Co. Waterford for €10,000. Check out their other horses for sale here on ParadeRing.ie. Pandorama is further proof that you don't need to spend a fortune to get a top class horse.
  • His next race will be the Hennessy back at Leopardstown again before a possible tilt at the Cheltenham Gold Cup. However he would be a doubtful runner for that if the ground didn't come up soft. None the less he is a top class chaser with plenty more races to be won with him.
