Thoroughbred NH Horse Sale at DBS Day 2 Review

Horse Sale Review from DBS NH Thoroughbred Sale Day 2 with the main horses, buyers and sellers. 

 

  • The top lot of the second and final day of the DBS Jumps Sale was the Gr.1 and Gr.2 chase winner For Non Stop from Nick Williams. He was bought by Matt Coleman of Anthony Stroud Bloodstock for £175,000 and will be trained in America. The 8yo Alderbrook gelding is out of the unraced mare Lost Link and is realted to the Gr.1 chase winning mare Fiddling The Facts. 
 
  • Harold Kirk bought Sanctuaire for £170,000 for trainer Willie Mullins from Paul Nicholls. The high class 7yo won the Gr.2 Scottish Champion Hurdle, Gr.3 Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle, the Gr.2 Celebration Chase, Gr.2 Desert Orchid Chase and was placed in the Gr.1 Tingle Creek Chase. He is a full brother to multiple Listed flat winner Histoire Sainte, and is also related to Gr.3 winner Violon Sacre and Listed hurdle placed Maillot Jaune.
  • Tom Malone was able to buy two half-brothers of For Non Stop. He paid £60,000 for the 5yo Listed winner Urbain De Sivola and then got his younger unraced 3yo brother, Alibi De Sivola, for £75,000. They will both be going to Paul Nicholls. They are out of mare Neva De Sivola and are related to Gr.3 chase winner Soleil De Sivola and triple Gr.1 hurdler Reve De Sivola.
  • Anthony Bromley from Highflyer Bloodstock went to £45,000 for the 3yo filly, Attente De Sivola. She is a half-sister to Pur De Sivola and R De Rien Sivola who are both Gr.2 jumps winners.
  • Paul Webber's Gr.2 hurdle winner Alasi, was sold to John O’Byrne for £51,000. She is by Alflora and is out of a half-sister to Androma who was a dual Gr.3 Scottish National winner.
  • Trainer Philip Kirby bought the dual 4yo flat winner Kiwayu for to go hurdling. He is by Medicean and is out of a winning full sister to Milan, the 2001 Champion Older Stayer and now Coolmore NH stallion and is also related to Gr.2 and Gr.3 placed Go For Gold.
  • Darley sold the Oasis Dream 3yo, Bedouin Invader, to Irish trainer James Ryan Jnr for £40,000. He has already won on his maiden on the flat and is from the Listed placed and hurdle winning mare Hovering, who his family bred. He is also related to Gr.3 placed El Manati and Listed winner and Gr.1 1,000 Guineas placed Vista Bella.
